About Anastasios

Anastasios Moussas is a Canadian Greek Public Policy Expert with extensive experience in government service, diplomacy, and cultural advocacy; Legal Consultant specializing in estate administration and real estate management and development in Greece; Certified Translator; and Professional Immigration Consultant. He is the founder and Managing Director of Integrated Consulting Services (ICS), North America’s leading firm specializing in the provision of Greek language services and estate administration consulting for Greece.

 

His past work experience includes service in the Canadian Armed Forces and at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Republic at the Consulate General of Greece in Montreal and Toronto, as well as the World Council for Hellenes Abroad (SAE). Deeply committed to community affairs, he currently holds leadership roles in several prominent Greek diaspora organizations, including the American Hellenic Educational Progressive
Association (AHEPA).

Education

Born in Montreal, Canada, Anastasios Moussas completed his secondary education locally. In 1992, he was awarded a scholarship from the Department of the Secretary of State of Canada to study French at the University of Ottawa, completing the program that same year. He then enlisted in the Canadian Armed Forces with the Royal Montreal Regiment (infantry), and upon honorable discharge, received a Certificate of Service. In 1994, he graduated from Dawson College with a Diploma of Collegial Studies in Social Sciences.

 

He continued his academic journey at Concordia University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 1998 with a specialization in international politics and policymaking in public, private, and community sectors. He pursued graduate studies in Public Policy and Management at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London. In 2012, he earned a Master’s in public policy, Administration and Law (MPPAL) from York University, followed by a Diploma in Immigration Consultant with honours from Herzing College in 2013. In September of 2024, he enrolled in the program of LLB at the London Metropolitan University and is expected to graduate in Spring of 2027.

Professional Experience

In the professional realm, Anastasios Moussas has rendered his services to numerous Canadian governmental agencies (both provincial and federal), private corporations, NGO’s and multilateral/international organizations, including the United Nations, World Bank and IMF. He was employed by the Government of Canada at the Ministry of Defense (1992-1993), the Hellenic Republic at the Consulate General of Greece in Montreal (June 1997 – January 2001) and the Consulate General of Greece in Toronto (February 2001 – February 2007). In June of 1997 founded Integrated Consulting Services (ICS), a privately owned and managed Consulting Firm, specializing in the provision of business and legal consulting in Greece as well as Greek Language Consulting Services, such as translation, interpretation, document production and writing. From April 2007 to December 31, 2011, was employed by the World Council for Hellenes Abroad (SAE) – an organization of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Greece, as the Executive Director of the Office of SAE Coordinator for the Region of Canada.

Memberships and Affiliations

Anastasios Moussas is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Canadian Association of Immigration Consultants (CAPIC), the Ordre des Traducteurs, Terminologues et Interprètes Agréés du Québec (OTTIAQ), the Association of Translators and Interpreters of Ontario (ATIO), the Canadian Translators, Terminologists and Interpreters Council (CTTIC), and the American Translators Association (ATA). He is also an alumni member of Concordia University, the University of London (SOAS), York University, and Herzing College.

Community Involvement

Throughout his life, Anastasios Moussas has shown a strong commitment to community and cultural engagement. He co-founded the Greek Student Association at Dawson College, where he served as a member of the Executive Council during 1993–1994. He later became President of the Greek Student Association at Concordia University from 1995 to 1996 and served as an ex-officio board member of both the Hellenic Congress of Quebec and the Hellenic Canadian Congress.

 

He is currently the President of the Canadian Order of AHEPA and an Ambassador of Good Will for the SOS Children’s Villages Greece. In the past, he served as Governor of AHEPA Beaver District #23 (Eastern Canada), as President of AHEPA Toronto Chapter, and as President of AHEPA Toronto Chapter Charity Corporation. He is also a member of Hellenic Heritage Foundation, The Hellenic Canadian Board of Trade, the Canadian Red Cross Society, and numerous hellenic and multicultural community initiatives across Canada.
